Research activities
The Zerbi Lab for Imaging and Translational Neurotechnologies develops and applies tools to better understand and treat neurological and psychiatric disorders. Our mission is to bridge the gap between preclinical research and clinical applications by integrating systems neuroscience, functional neuroimaging, and neuromodulation-based therapies.
We take an interdisciplinary approach, combining experimental neurobiology, state-of-the-art imaging, and neuroengineering to study brain circuit dysfunction and explore strategies for its modulation. Research in the lab focuses on brain connectivity in disease, neuromodulatory processes, neurostimulation, and cell replacement therapies for neurodegenerative conditions.
Our work is driven by strong collaborations with Swiss and international academic groups, as well as industrial partners in neuromodulation and regenerative medicine, fostering innovation at the interface of basic science and clinical impact.
