RECONSIDERING CONCEPTUAL CHANGE IN SCIENCE EDUCATION IN LIGHT OF RECENT FINDINGS IN THE NEUROSCIENCES
Wednesday February 26, 6-7 pm, A150 – Sciences II
Prof. Patrice Potvin de l’UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal)
Recent findings in neuroscience show that in science learning, new conceptions do not replace previous ones. Prof. Patrice Potvin will discuss the implication of these ndings in neuroscience for science teaching and learning, especially with regard to conceptual change.
This conference (in English) is aimed primarily at researchers in science, education and the neurosciences.
